How many times had the sandy lioness walked this line without crossing it, only nudging at the invisible border with her claws. She wanted to travel, to move across the highlands but she knew better, the other pride would kill her before she got far. And her own pride would likely be disappointed in her as well, the wanderer in her wanted to leave but the rest of her loved her pride too much to do so. Walnut colored irises stared into the highlands curiously before she swung her head away and towards the only thing to entertain her today. She had a full belly from a hunt she'd gone on earlier today with her pride and now they were likely lounging. She preferred to cool herself in the stream here and rest in her solitude. No doubt her gamboling would have only gotten her in trouble back at the dens.
Her paws slipped a little in the mud but she was sure footed enough to slowly ease her front half in the water. She pushed her head below the water quickly before pulling it back up, water dripped from her face and the fur had darkened to an intense gold while the markings around her eyes looked almost black instead of dark brown. She snickered to herself at the darting away of fish and pawed at them playfully throwing up water splashes in her wake. She meant them no harm and some of them were aware of that, even darting close enough to let her get a chance of touching them before they sped away in silver flashes.
Her tail flicked as she threw herself at the water with more gusto. The mud beneath her paws suddenly gave way and she tumbled into the shallow part of the waters with a yelp before surfacing and snagging onto the bank to pull herself up. A quick shake got rid of some of the water but not the amused grin on her lips, touche stream.

Zahara hadn't noticed Kiburi until she'd shaken out her pelt but when she fixed her eyes on her that usual half smirk of amusement was already on her muzzle. The lioness gave her a good natured grin herself and her question seemed more amused than anything. Zahara dropped into a semi playful pouncing position and glanced up with amusement, "Playing with the fish of course, I mean they have to have company too and Highlanders probably never gambol with them" she said with a snicker. She knew she sounded crazy but it was true, she was an eccentric among her entire kind, though she would have loved to meet a kindred soul. She had gotten their king to play in the mud, though that was only once.
She rested back into a proper standing position and flicked her tail raising what she had that was equivalent to a brow. "What might you be doing out here though Kiburi? I know you're not hoping to meet one of them" she said with a chuckle and a nudge towards the Highlands. She knew of the other lioness's disdain for the Highlanders and she didn't fault her for it in the least. Zahara had just always taken a more neutral position with them, she didn't see the point of fighting over pasts that she wasn't apart of. She smiled slightly at the thought, she hadn't been born here but she still loved the pride as if she had.
