Jungle-Desert Border
The Jungle-Desert Border is a hellish place for lions from both areas. It is too cold and sheltered for the golden-pelted desert lions, and too hot and open for the jungle lions. The trees here are spaced farther apart than those in the jungle, so more sunlight gets to the earth below. However, there is not enough shade to satisfy the jungle lions, who have adapted to stalking prey in shadows and thick undergrowth.
