Naji and his mother had relocated to Paradise Rock because they ruins was no place to raise a little cub. The little toddler was currently busy taking a nap under a large leaf which served as a blanket. Tossing and turning the leaf slipped off which awoke the cub causing him to roll onto his tummy and look around sleepily, wondering what had happened.

Nafasi looked at the bewildered cub, smiling to himself. He was glad that the mother had let him cubsit Naji. Nafasi wanted so bad to show his own mother that he wasn't helpless. Easing himself onto his three good legs, he limped towards the cub. Good Morning, sleepyhead. he purred gently to the cub.

The toddler looked up to see this strange golden cub staring at him. "Good Morning sleepyhead." it had said to him. Not knowing who it was he began to tear up slightly, his grey-blue eyes looking a little misty. After a few moments the cry came full foward, tears streaming down the cub's face. "My! My!" he cried. (Mommy! Mommy!)

Nafasi sighed and layed down near Naji. Licking the cub behind the ears as he had seen the mother do to quite him, Nafasi deepened his purr so that it soothed the cub. He hoped the combined warmth, licking, and purring would quite the crying cub. Don't worry, Naji, your mommy will be back soon. My name's Nafasi. I'm looking after you while she's away. he said softly. He didn't want to make the cub unhappier.

Naji rubbed his eyes with a paw to get a better look at the cub that was beside him. Tilting his head to one side he pawed at Nafsi curiously wondering what to do next. He stood up and took a few steps forward trying his best to gain some sense of balance before he fell down. He wasnt hurt but it spooked the toddler slightly causing the fur on his back to bristle upwards.

Nafasi laughed softly as the cub pawed at him. When the cub tried to stand, but fell over, Nafasi remebered that at the Naji's age, he had been unable to stand at all. He finally could stand when his siblings were already running and playing. When the on Naji's back began to ruffle, Nafasi nosed the cub gently. Try it again! Each time will be easier. he purred encouragingly.

Looking up at the cub, Naji figured he'd give it another try. Rising up slowly and standing on his small legs, the cub took about 2 or 3 steps forward then another and another. He did it, he was walking! Loving this new sensation the young cub tried to pick up the pace a little bit causing him to tumble onto his back, beginning to giggle at paw at the air.

Nafasi laughed with the cub and licked Naji's belly. His mother always did that to him when he was younger and he loved it. It tickled him.

Naji's back legs and front paws began to flail as Nafsi licked his stomach causing the toddler to burst out laughing. Trying to roll over, he accidentally bopped the older cub in the nose, laying on his stomach he stared at the cub, his stomach starting to rumble from hunger.

Nafasi looked down at the cub and laughed when he was bopped in the nose. His eyes widened though as the cub's belly rumbled. What did I eat at his age? He wipped around and rushed to grab a small chunk of a certain type of plant, the meat substitute that the Oldlands had used since the reign of Kimba. Maybe he could eat this? Carrying it back to the cub he set it down gently in front of the cub. Can you eat this yet, Naji?
I'm about as clueless as Nafasi here...
