KASI
Light golden pelt, decorated with hundreds of brown spots, and a pale golden underbelly pure in colour, Kasi padded through the long savannah grass. Leaping onto a stone, she surveyed the scene before her, her reddish-brown eyes running slowly over the savannah grass, but she found nothing of interest. The savannah grass, which reached past her back.
Sighing, she leaped off the stone. Perhaps she would have been able to see more if the grass wasn't quite so tall. There likely were other living beasts lurking out in the savannah grass, but for the moment, she couldn't see them. She wasn't beast-hunting now, she was relaxing, and that's what she intended to continue doing.
She took in a deep breath of Grasslands air, the sweet scent of the savannah grass filling her nostrils. She closed her eyes, savouring the scent, before she exhaled the breath in a deep, slow sigh. She flexed her toes, letting her claws create hollows in the earth. She opened her eyes, and the muscles in her entire body contracted. Then, she set off running as fast as she could. She loved running, she was a Cheetah, and that's what Cheetahs were known for.

[glow=red,2,300]Nepa[/glow]A white lioness gliding through the grasslands, the grass bending beneath her chest. The grass engulfed Nepa delicately, as the sun's rays danced before her, streaming though the gaps in the stalks. A breeze blew across the field, causing the grass to whip her. Nepa let out a roar of pain as one cut her nose.

KASI
It felt so good, her paws gliding across the ground. She loved running, loved running. She'd accomplished a great amount of speed, and was pushing her body for more. Speed, more speed. She breeze was rushing through her fur, she loved that feeling.
Grass underfoot, long green-grown savannah grass. Faster, faster. She felt like laughing out loud, she loved the thrill of running, racing. Now, if only she had a running-mate, a friend to race against her. That would be perfect. But laughing out loud would only effect her running, and it wouldn't be positive.
Run, run. Get the adrenaline pumping. Run, run.
Paws against earth, paws against earth. Air filling lungs, air filling lungs. A soft thump, thump, thump, thump. So quiet, barely audible. But there, yes, there. But quiet, so quiet.
As the breeze whipped the grass about, she heard a roar of pain, directly in front of her. Directly in her path. So close she couldn't avoid it. She couldn't jump over it, for she couldn't pinpoint the other feline's location. She couldn't see them, whoever they were.
She couldn't slow down.
A flash of white, and she was on her back, on her stomach, on her back, on her stomach. She was flattening the savannah grass with her body. Rolling, rolling, over and over. Her sides hurt, her paws hurt, her back hurt, her stomach hurt. She hurt all over, but that could have been the impact from falling. And rolling. And rolling. And rolling.

The white lioness went flying also, almost landing on top of the cheetah. She spun in the air, alowing herself to hit the grass on her back. Looking up as she rolled over, Nepa noticed the cheetah. Her ears flew back and she growled. Through bared teeth, she spoke. "Who are you." her voice was flat, though a growl was still rising in her throat.

KASI
helpless to defy his fate Having accidentally run over another feline, Kasi had sent the lioness flying also. However, the lioness's response time was less than Kasi's was, and she seemed like she never fell, just leaped out of the way, although Kasi had felt the collision.
Dizzy from having rolled so many times, Kasi shook her head, trying to stand up. The other feline, a snowy white lioness, was standing with her ears back and her teeth bared. Her voice was flat when she spoke, and Kasi felt slightly intimidated by her. "Who are you?"
Kasi had never seen this lioness before in her life. She didn't know every lion in the Grasslands pride, but she was quite sure that the white lioness was not one of the Grasslands Pride. And the white lioness didn't carry the scent of the Grasslanders, which confirmed Kasi's theory that she was not one of them.
Kasi bared her teeth, the fur on her back bristling with aggression. “I could ask you the same thing.” Kasi retorted, sitting down. She was no longer dizzy from rolling through the grass. “After all, I am of these lands, and you clearly are not.” he has never been one of us Word Count > 195 Lyrics > One of Us from the Lion King 2 Tags > Nepa [/blockquote][/font]

Nepa snapped back at the cheetah, "No I'm not a grasslander, or pridelander or any other pride for that matter! Besides, your a cheetah, not a lion, so what are you doing in a pride?" Nepa lifted her paw daintily of the ground and licked the side before bringing it over her gently bleeding nose.

Kasi was mildly surprised when the white lioness snapped back at her. "No I'm not a grasslander, or pridelander or any other pride for that matter! Besides, your a cheetah, not a lion, so what are you doing in a pride?" Then the other lioness lifted and licked her paw, running it over her bleeding nose.
"Did I insinuate that I was a member of the Grasslands' Pride?" Kasi's reply was as tart as unripe berries. "I merely said I was of these lands. I am a Grasslander by birthright. I live here, but not with the lions who rule these territories."
Kasi raised an eyebrow at the white lioness, waiting for her to bite back again. Kasi looked as though she were about to fight. Her claws were scraping the earth beneath and the fur un her shoulders was standing up, a clear sign of aggression. But she wasn't about to fight this lioness, she wouldn't be able to take a lion in battle.
Kasi's brown eyes fixed on the white lioness intensely. Her lips seemed to be pulled back in a scornful scowl as she spoke to the lioness. "Besides being a vagrant - or outcast, who are you?" Word Count > 201 Tags > Nepa [/blockquote][/font]

Nepa winced at the word "outcast" then looked at the cheetah. She noticed that this cat obviously didn't want to fight. Looking up and into the cheetah's eyes, Nepa sighed. "My name is Nepa." she kept it plain and simple. Looking down at her paws, she relaxed. If the cheetah wasn't going to fight, neither would she.
