NALA, -Queen of the Pridelands- It was mid-day in the Pridelands and the Queen had just gotten back from a hunt with other lionesses. She was quite friendly with the other pride members, she would also spend time with Kiara most times. Soft pads padded up the rocks of Pride rock as the Queen held her smile and a full belly. She enjoyed her life and still had a lot to go on. When she reached the top of pride-rock she didn't bother going inside the cave she enjoyed the breeze. Nala walked to the edge of their home to look out to see the Pridelands.
Slowly laying down on her stomach, Nala watched the herds roam freely grazing among the grass areas and the Zebra's running to find other grazing areas. Ears raised the Queen was proud of the achievements she and her mate accomplished over the years. There were thoughts in her head about Kopa and how she missed him dearly. She hadn't mentioned anything after and she wouldn't. She rested her head on her paws still looking down over the Pridelands.
Her mate was probably roaming the lands for any intruders. She would guard Priderock and wait for the other lionesses to return or her mate. Kiara had a life of her own now and Nala was proud of her daughter and the lioness she had grown into. Nala remembered when she was a cub, getting baths from her mother Sarafina and playing with Mheetu her darling little brother. Getting into trouble with Simba. She missed those days but, she was much happy now. She was Queen and loved the pride she was in. Nala sighed and watched the animals below.

If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea I'll sail the world to find you
Beneath the bright rays of the midday sun, the king of the Pridelands walked slowly along the borders of his territory. Since the sun had risen to mark the beginning of the new day, Simba had been away from Pride Rock, out patrolling the vast landscape that belonged to the Pridelanders. His rust tinted eyes scanned over the savannah before him as he made his way around well established border of the Pridelands. His nostrils flared with each intake of breath, as he sampled the air for the unfamiliar scent of any intruder into the territory.
Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, which came as a great relief to the king of the Pridelands. As of now, everything was in order and all the members of the pride were safe from outsiders who always seemed to be looking to cause mayhem. Simba felt his overall being relax, with the knowledge that for the time being, the day could unfold without the worry of an impending threat to the wellbeing of the pride.
With the completion of his morning patrol, Simba turned to head back in the direction he had come. The silhouette of Pride Rock was visible in the distance, its shape distorted by the waves of heat that radiated off of the savannah. The king passed herds of grazing animals as he padded across the savannah. Each creature raised its head as the lion passed, though Simba was of no threat to them. He knew the lionesses were out on the hunt at this time, wondering if a member of one of these herds would fall victim the pride’s hunting party.
As he approached Pride Rock, the king ascended effortlessly up the rocks on its side, stopping as he reached the flat surface at the top. He looked into the dark opening of the cave, seeing nothing but the emptiness of the Pride’s den. Simba’s attention turned to the edge of Pride Rock, where a familiar figure lay poised on the edge, staring out into the vast landscape of the Pridelands. A smile spread across Simba’s lips at the sight of his mate here, alone on Pride Rock. As the king approached her, his large paws made no sound on the sheer rock. He came up beside her, gently caressing her head with his own. For that moment, there was no need for words, as a soft, loving purr vibrated audibly in his throat.
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see I'll be the light to guide you

NALA, -Queen of the Pridelands- The Queen of the Pridelands would also come to see the other lionesses heading back this way talking among themselves. A pride so proud was always a great pride. Times were tough when Scar ruled as King and Nala just wanted to show him some sense if she was given the chance. It was Simba who was the rightful King and she was proud of herself for finding him in that jungle long ago. Old memories never went away. She and Simba still ruled the Pridelands and coached Kiara who was their heir to becoming the next Queen of the pridelands.
Her tail slowly swayed behind her large frame like a wave of a hand or paw. She was proud to where she was, she was a very skilled fighter since as an adult she beat Simba fair and square just like when they were cubs and accidentally stumbled into the Elephant Graveyard. Nala would then come across the two little helpers she met with Simba looking for their grub. Chuckling at that the female felt a caress on her noggin as she brightened her smile and raising her head to nuzzle her mate back with a purr just as loud. Of course, words were not needed at the moment a very moments welcoming her King home she sat up to a sitting position looking at Simba.
"I take it the Pridelands are safe in the time being?" She said still holding her gentle smile her blue hues looking into Simba's. Nala usually went with Simba on the patrol's but today she was in the mood to hunt and she did just that. "Have you seen Kiara anywhere?" She asked him then nuzzling her head under his chin for an inch of a second. She realized Kiara was a full grown lioness but, as their daughter she still worried about her. Nala had full confidence in Kovu to protect Kiara now.

You can count on me like one, two, three I'll be there and I know when I need it
Nala's response to his touch was exactly what the king had predicted. As the two of them reunited in silence for a moment, Simba felt his heart beat faster within his chest, the way it always did when he was close to his mate. It still amazed him to think that the two of them had been together for most of their lives. They had been inseparable as cubs, almost like brother and sister playing, fighting, and getting into immeasurable amounts of trouble. He wondered whether her mother or his own, had ever regretted allowing them to spend so much time together, for the two of them must have been the most obnoxious duo in the pride.
As the lioness up righted herself, her bright blue eyes connected with Simba's rust tinted set. For a brief moment, he was captivated by her gaze, unable to remember the earlier years where the thought of the two of them becoming mates had disgusted both of them. He lowered his haunches to the sheer rock so he was seated beside her. His gaze was still locked with hers as she spoke to him, before she broke the connection to rub her head gently beneath his chin.
"For now." He responded to her question, knowing from experience that there was always the threat of an outsider coming into the Prideland's territory. "I haven't seen Kiara, but I'm sure wherever she is, she's with Kovu." A soft chuckle escaped him as he spoke. To think that only a short time ago, his feelings for both Kovu and his own daughter had been entirely different. He had been so overprotective of Kiara and trust for Kovu was nonexistent. Since then, Simba's opinions had changed. He had full trust in Kovu now and had loosened his tight grip on his daughter. Though it had been difficult for him to do, Simba knew that if anyone could protect Kiara the way that he and Nala could, it was Kovu.
"And how has your day been?" He asked, as he gently nuzzled his mate back.
I can count on you like four, three, two And you'll be there 'cause that's what friends Are supposed to do

NALA, -Queen of the Pridelands- At first when a cub, when Zazu had told them they were to be married the reaction on there faces were priceless. At the time they were cubs and best friends it was a weird thought until now. She let out a loud purr after nuzzling her mate. She didn't care for the trouble they were in when younger she got to have her adventures with the prince. The Queen sat next to her king and looked back in her mind to how much she admired Sarabi and Mufasa. In time Nala always had a strong smile to Simba.
Sitting next to her king eyes locked among his she smirked gladly. Nala remembered finding Simba in the jungle where she had told him what Scar and the hyena's had done to the pridelands. That was also the day she fell in love with her betrothed best friend. She was also locked on his gaze sitting at the tip of the mouth of Pride rock. "Funny isn't it? Ever since Zira's passing the activity in the pridelands has gone down besides the small intrusions." She said realizing it as well. They weren't always trying to find Kiara anymore in case of danger from Zira and the outsiders it was actually quite nice.
When hearing Kiara wasn't to be seen she figured the same thing he had. She must have been with Kovu. Nala was still waiting for the right moment to say 'I told you so' about her thoughts o Kovu being the good guy and not the evil heir of Scar's that Simba thought him to be. "Speaking of Kovu...I think it's time to say I told you so." She said then stood up and turned towards her king and knocked up over onto his back her front paws on his shoulders. She nuzzled him gently ears lowered to the affection. She giggled in her throat and thought of how her day went so far. "Besides feasting on an antelope it was actually a nice day. You?" She said then flopped over next to her king.

The pawprints of a young female came onto the land, as the spoiled teenager with an attitude came to the Pridelands. She had been on a hunt, and carried in her mouth was a baby antelope. She held her head up high, the carcass being dragged between her legs. As she walked, she grunted, sniffing the air... Her nose was filled with two familiar scents. Mother and father. Otherwise known to everyone else as Nala and Simba. Her eyes rolled back in her head at the thought of Simba, whom she had once called "daddy." No longer did she call him that. She called him father now. And mother "mama." She sat down and ate her fill of the carcass, leaving it at the edge of the big cliff known as Pride Rock. She started towards the scent of her parents, arrogance in her gaze and attitude in the way she walked.
She finally got there. "Hello, mama. Father." She looked to them both, bowing to only her mother, and giving an eye roll to the lion she knew as dad. She looked down at her paws, and bravely lifted her head back up. "So.. I've been thinking.. I need to be trained about how to be a proper queen. When the time comes." She said it as if the time would be coming soon, she smiled at her mother. "After all, who else.." She stopped herself, remembering how much bringining up Kopa hurt her mother. "Umm. Sorry. I just meant I want to be ready when it happens.... I'd like to be as great as leaders as you were when I were kids.."

If you toss and you turn and you just can't fall asleep I'll sing a song beside you
Simba's eyes focused once again on Nala's bright azure set, rendering him completely captivated by her gaze. There were times when the world around them seemed to disappear entirely when he was with her. It was amazing what a few years apart could do to a relationship. What had started as an inseparable friendship, had been tragically morphed into a separation that neither of them had expected. Simba had accepted the fact that he would never be able to see his closest friend ever again, while Nala believed him to be dead. The day that he and Nala had reunited was still one of the most memorable days of his life. The time they spent apart had apart and their own growth from cubs to adults had changed the way the two of them viewed each other. Gone were the immature feelings about potential marriage, instead replaced by an irrevocable love that neither of them had been expecting.
"The Pridelands have been threatened by Zira for so long, that it almost makes me nervous that things have been so quiet..." Ever since Scar's reign had ended, the Pridelands had been under constant threat of Zira and the rest of the Outlanders. He and Nala had dealt with her and her pride intruding on a regular basis with both verbal and physical confrontation. She had brutally murdered his firstborn and wanted to do the same to his daughter. She had plotted his murder so many times over, that Simba was surprised she had not trained someone else to carry on her legacy.
When Nala spoke of Kovu, Simba could not help but laugh. He knew her well enough to know that she had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to say those four words to him. "I know, I know. You were right" Before Simba had time to react, Nala was on top of him, forcing his body backwards onto the sheer rock. Her front paws held his shoulders down, pinning him firmly to the ground. His startled expression quickly transformed into a smile as he stared up at her. Though Simba had been taken off guard it did not matter. As a cub, pinning Nala had been frustratingly impossible for him to do. And even now, physically larger than her, Simba still could not pin her no matter how hard he tried.
His smile remained on his face as she nuzzled him again, completely submissive to her touch. "I hope you saved some." He laughed as she flopped over beside him. He rolled his body over onto its side so he was facing her. "Fine so far and it seems to be getting better." He said with a smile, pressing his nose gently against hers. and if you ever forget how much you really mean to me everyday I will remind you

NALA, -Queen of the Pridelands- It was kind of strange. Nala and Simba were best friends when they were cubs and when Zazu had mentioned they weer betrothed to bound to marry Nala thought it was gross. It was true at first she was a young cub not looking for love and Simba was always there just as a best friend was. But as time grew she began to mature and so here they were after many tragedies or so two first Scar then Zira. Nala was glad it was over now and wished she could have gone up against Zira for what she had done. Though, Nala kept that to herself. She felt normal when with Simba or more so happy. She never wanted to lose him after that incident when they were cubs.
When he spoke she listened then smirked. "Zira is gone and so is Scar. Mufasa would be proud of you. You have a right to be worried but also take in that your greatest enemies were wrong about you and you defeated them." She said looking her king in the eyes. She supported Simba and was with him on being worried. It was too quiet in the Pridelands but, Nala also enjoyed it when it came to free time sun bathing or talking with the other pride members. She was glad Scar was gone she hated that lion desperately after what he did to her mother and to Simba and Zira was no different. If only Zira knew or saw that the Hyena's killed Scar not Simba. Ever since then every morning Nala would look towards the outlands to see if there was movement.
When he finally said the words she wanted to here she made that childish smile she had when they were cubs. "It helps if you pay attention." She said giving small advice. She kept a close eye on Kovu when he first arrived here and saw his eyes towards Kiara. She looked down at him after pinning him backwards. Her purr was loud and calm while nuzzling him. Nala saw greatness in Simba and he was a great King who his father was proud of. Nala sure was. "I did I left it in the cave for you." She said towards the meal she hunted down earlier. She knew Simba's other diet of grub thanks to Timon and Pumba but Nala could not stand that stuff. "Well that's good." She said laying next to her king with a happy smile.
