Picture used from: Lion King Fan Art User - Ari. “ We don't rely on others in life to tell us what to do. Our destinies are of our own makings.” SAFIA
Nicknames: Fia, Fi Gender: Female - Lioness Age: Two Species: Lion Homeland: Pridelander/Wanderer Rank: n/a
Quick Description: A young, slim lioness with a brown, oddly patterned coat and bright green eyes. Full Description: Safia is, for a young lioness, quite beautiful. With a slim build many often tend to underestimate her abilities, yet for her age she is unnatural strong. The bulk of her muscles is not apparent to most, although her figure is quite lithe, which in turn makes her exceptionally quick in any situation. Her coat itself is a creamy brown color, just shy of a dark tan, with streaks of a darker brown streaking across her back. The fur upon the tip of her tail is of the same color, and just before the tip there is a light tan. This tan color also surrounds her eyes and is apparent as spots on the top of her ears, and are also like socks upon her legs. Her eyes are a light green color, and her nose is a light pink-red color as well. Overall, Safia is, as stated before, quite beautiful despite her odd colorings and markings.
Visual - Used from Lion King Fan Art User Andra the Lioness.
Personality: You truly want to know what Safia is like? Alright, I'll tell you. Honestly, she isn't what some people would expect an adolescent lion to act like. She is normally quite timid and shy, although if she ever finds herself in danger she isn't one to stand down for she knows the rules of survival in the world she lives in. For those that know her though, Safia is sweet, once you get past her walls that is. She is slow to trust due to past experiences, plus the fact that she is quite shy to begin with. It is because of this that most tend to see her as weak and, honestly, not much of a worthy opponent.
But, those who have seen past that side of her know that Safia has a good heart and that she isn't one to mess with when it comes to loved ones. She has been known to be quite protective, although very few lions have been able to get this close to her in the past. Regardless of the fact though, she is a good lion and merely seeks comfort in companionship with others when she can, but whether or not she comes to trust anyone again like she used to is all set in the future. Goals: The only true goal in Safia's life is to one day find somewhere she belongs once again.
History: Safia's history isn't exactly something to be happy about, especially for her. To begin with though, she was once a Pridelander, born and raised. Her parents grew up in the Pride, and after enough time, they came to be mates, and that is how Safia came into this world. Now, it's at this point you might be wondering how she came to be a Wanderer, right? You might be wondering if she was exiled for something she did, or maybe it was of her own choice to leave, but both of those assumptions are wrong.
She was, in a sense, driven out.
I know, I know. What's the difference between that and being exiled, right? Well, I'll let you know. Safia was probably around almost a year at the time that the incident occurred. She had been playing with a few other cubs in the Pride when they showed up. Hyenas, I mean. They were bold, that much was obvious, but the cubs were near the edge of the territory, and their mothers were a good few yards away, sunning themselves upon some rocks. But chaos occurred when the hyenas arrived.
Safia, in her own panic, fled, not truly paying attention to where she was going, but it was the hyenas who chose to follow her and abandon the other cubs, mainly because their mothers had been alerted by the noise. But few noticed that Safia was already gone. She ran from the predators that pursed her without thought, but by the time she stopped her pursers had given up on the chase, leaving her to her own devices.
It was after that Safia soon began to survive upon scraps of food she would happen across, but soon taught herself how to hunt in the months following. She's learned to defend herself and find her own way in the world and has managed to survive. But she hardly remembers her past and where she came from, and wishes to one day have a place to call her own one day, and maybe a family of her own to raise in peace.
Author Alias: Lexi RP Experience: About 6 Years now How You Found Us: Site hopping. x3 RP Sample: It was a little to much sometimes. Being out here alone, anyways. She couldn't stand it, and often times she found it quite, well...annoying. It was never-ending silence, for there was no one to talk to other than herself, and that just wasn't worth it. She wanted a real companion, someone who she could physically touch and converse with. But that was unlikely to ever happen. She never came across anyone, and even if she did, it was more like she was fighting to get away half the time.
"Why can't I get a break, just once?" She sighed softly, her paws dragging ever so slightly with each step she took. She was certainly a long ways from where she had been this morning, but then again she'd almost gotten caught by a hunting party from a Pride. She closed her eyes, stopping for a moment as she let her breathing remain steady, her chest rising and falling with the gentle rhythm as she made herself relax for the time being.
A pride. She had been a part of one before, that much she knew. But she just couldn't remember for the life of her. It always came back to her in bits and fragments, but nothing more. She just couldn't remember. So it was all she did have that one day she would find someone, anyone, who could be with her and just live life. She was sure, if nothing else, she wasn't going to be completely detached from every other lion that was living for the rest of her days.
But she was just so shy, and that was the problem. She couldn't get the courage up to speak with most she came across, and that was that. They were always gone by the time the courage had finally come, and she was left alone in the dust once more. Sighing softly again, her eyes re-opened before she began to move forward, her tail low as she remained silent, continuing on the journey she had been traveling for as long as she could remember.
