No New Posts Burrows

Spots of higher ground are hard to find but the little that is in the lowland territory is prime location for the 'pride rock' of the lowlands. The slow upgrade of the only real mountain-hill provides a dry path to a series of different pockets of open earth large enough to fit several different lions. Some of the dens connect and these dens are rarely flooded even in the hieght of the season. The downside is the dens are closer to the Highland pride than the lowlanders would like, but it provides safety from the weather and warmth during cold seasons.

No New Posts Floodplains

A deep wide plain that floods and creates a shallow lake filled with tall grass that peeks above flood waters. Movement is slower in the water, causing most prey to clumsily move between patches of higher ground that provide a small land islands that can either give an advantage or loose prey. Hunting is prime here if you know how to navigate the spread of water and patches of dry land.

No New Posts Lowlands-Highlands Border

The clearing which has the blood of generations stained into the earth. The Lowlands side of the border is clearly the lower side of the border. The border is marked by a stream that run horizontally across the slope, before leading to a waterfall. The ground on the Lowlands side of the border is spongier than that of the Highland' side and those unaccustomed to travelling in the mud are prone to slipping.

No New Posts Borderfalls

The stream that divides the Highlands and Lowlands regions is a stream two liontails-lengths wide. The stream runs horizontally across a battleground and to a cliff, where the stream becomes a beautiful waterfall, the water falling into a large oasis-like pond. During times of violence between the Lowlands and the Highlands, the falls have been known to turn red with spilled blood.

No New Posts Baobab Tree

Seeming to rebel against the completely level clearing in which it stands, the massive Baobob tree stands tall, providing a vast quantity of shade for the creatures of the region. It can be seen from miles away, but also provides an excellent vantage point for any that are able and willing to climb it.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
Lowlands
The Lowlands start at the lowest part of the Highlands territory. The Lowlands is a massive valley. It's a floodplain, so in most seasons, most of the territory is marshy and boggy or completely flooded. Paws and hooves are easily sucked into the sticky brown mud, and can be difficult to get out. The mud makes prey easy to track, but harder to catch, because the combination of running and mud presents a difficult challenge for anyone. Higher ground is difficult to find, but it does exist within Lowlands borders. Vacant higher ground is difficult to find.
