Betrayal & Bloody Battles [dramatic plot]

Kiara dies giving birth to her first cubs, leaving her pride weakened and grieving. Simba and Nala leave the Pridelands on a mission, possibly to arrange marriages for Kiara's son and daughter. While they are away, Kopa returns to the Pridelands and finds a lion who he believes to be Scar in his father's place.

Outraged, he fights with Kovu, wins, exiling Kovu and all those who support him. Perhaps someone very close to Kovu [maybe even Vitani] could be torn by an attraction to Kopa and choose to stay, or end up pregnant with Kopa's cubs when they follow Kovu into exile.

Upon their return, Simba and Nala are shocked by the sudden appearance of a lion who claims to be their long lost son. However, despite their joy at the return of Kopa, they are worried by Kovu's exile, and are concerned for their grandchildren, who have now been cast out of their home.

Maliki's reputation as a playboy precedes him. One lioness decides to use this to her advantage – to manipulate him into making her his queen. However, Maliki has already fallen for a lioness who usually wouldn't give him the time of day, and struggles with his newfound feelings for one lioness, while he can't just suddenly ignore his tail-chasing ways.

When Maliki finally figures out what it is he wants, the ambitious lioness becomes outraged, because Maliki isn't as easily manipulated as she assumed. So she storms off and runs into two brothers, one who is as ambitious as she is, but not as cunning. The lioness decides to return to the Highlands, and stirs up drama by telling Maliki that she is pregnant with his cubs. However, she will either be pregnant by one of the males that she ran into, or isn't even pregnant at all. Despite this drama, Maliki refuses to name her as his queen.

So in her rage, she assists the two brothers in a plot to overthrow Maliki and drive him out of his own kingdom. A bloody battle ensues, one which Maliki will likely lose. Those who choose to remain loyal to their king will travel elsewhere with Maliki, until they are able to gather the forces required to reclaim Maliki's crown.

Kovu and Maliki will both be leading prides into unfamiliar terrain, and it is quite probable that both will be traveling with very young cubs. They will need a place to stop and rest, and perhaps even take shelter in another region.

Both the Drylands and the Vinelands would benefit greatly from the activity gained by sheltering a foreign pride. Who goes where would be worked out closer to the time.

Interlopers and Intruders

This is the only one I could say I could come up with anything for but perhaps Maliki has to stop in the Lowlands at one point? It could be an interesting stop considering the history between the two regions. I'm not sure how the current King feels about Maliki but my own lioness Beyani wouldn't be too fond of having him and his Highlanders there at first. It could be a change to forge friendships or rivalries depending on how it all played out. Maybe his little group got chased there because the two lions that otherthrew him figured that the Lowlanders would massacre him and his group but that doesn't quite happen. I'm new so I'm rambling but I figured I would try to put forward something.

I second Beyani's add-on to Interlopers and Intruders. It would be very interesting to see how it plays out, with characters such as Beyani, Kiburi, and Jiraa afoot.

I really would like to see this plot take place soon so I'd be willing to adopt another of the lions if needed. Either one of the brothers or the female. XD

A possible addition to Corruption and Betrayal. Seeing as how RL lions mate with the females of the pride they take over almost immediately, maybe the lioness that Maliki falls for could end up pregnant by one of the brothers? The ultimate insult when a take over is complete. But, instead of being raised under the two brothers, the cub(s) are raised by Maliki and his pride and help retake the Highlands when they're old enough?

Ooh, wouldn't that be dramatic? Maliki would probably be pretty possessive over his mate if he actually loved her, so if she ended up pregnant (even if not by choice) by another male, that would certainly upset the King.

I don't think he would be able to be nice to them, and wouldn't it be painful for Maliki if they thought he was their father and couldn't understand why he doesn't want to be with them - especially if he has cubs by other lionesses in the pride which he shows affection to instead of them. Things could get pretty tense.

Poor Maliki's life is just going from bad to worse, the more we plot.

Now if only I was able to get consistently active enough for us to actually pull off this plot. -kicks self-

Poor Maliki, his love forced to bear the cubs of his enemies, his lands stripped away from him, and his life turned upside down. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN *cue plot music* xD

I think we need to get everyone's activity up, since these plots involve a great deal of characters. Maybe shooting an email to everyone to let them know the board is still thriving, or remind some (everyone gets busy with RL, and it's easy to forget a rp)?
