Full Description: He’s large, sinewy and powerful-looking despite his age. He has a firm build, best described as that of a warrior. His pelt is a sandy-gold, and his mane is chestnut-brown, with a silver streak or two running through it. His eyes are light-green, best described as the color of the Savannah grass. He seems to always have a sort of penetrating stare, and his eyes have the looks of being able to pierce the very soul, when angered. He usually moves with the confident kind of walk of someone who believes he can accomplish anything. His body is in good form, if not scarred from his many battles, in his difficult and troubled past.
Personality: At first glance he strikes as an ever confident figure, and at most times, he is. He believes in the old laws of King Kubwa, and never fails to settle life’s difficulties with them. He flatters himself a good judge of character, and tries his best to make Maliki a good King, even when such difficulties as Maliki’s romance get in the way, comparing Maliki with Kubwa every few steps along the way, until Maliki becomes as good a King as his father was, taking a queen and ruling the Highlands with wisdom and justice. And besides that, Chane is a responsible, dutiful and wise lion and a loyal friend. But behind this fine character are a burning desire for revenge and a fiery hatred for the Lowlanders uncommon for most of his Pride, as they were the ones who ended his beloved King’s life in the first place…

Goals: To make Maliki as good a King as Kubwa
History: He was born an only child to two Highlander parents, and spent his entire life in the Highlands’ misty hills and valleys. His mate was a wanderer lioness named Vasiri, but she bore him no cubs, and later left the Highlands completely, as most wanderers were known to do. He gained his title as Royal Advisor when he was chosen by the newly-declared King, his best friend, Kubwa. The Highlands was a place of peace, until the Lowlanders, lions from the neighboring Kingdom of the Lowlands, started stealing kills, and soon became bold enough to venture as far as the Abandoned Village, until Kubwa could take it no longer, and declared war on his thieving neighbors. The war lasted some time, both sides losing many a warrior, until Kubwa was caught alone one fateful evening, and killed. His enraged subjects pushed the invaders far from the Highlands, and then made Maliki their King in his father’s place. And so now, Chane has taken it upon himself to make Maliki what his father used to be, and restore the Highlands to the splendor it used to be.
