quick description - Jiwa is a pure black lion with dark blue eyes and a scar over his left eye and the scars of another lion's claws on his right front leg.

full description -Jiwa is a pure black lion with a ragged black mane. His dark mane is full and he is unusually larger than most lions. His eyes are deep blue that seem to see right into you. Each of his paws are large and powerful. Every claw is as black as night and could easily rip you apart. A scar stretches over his left eye and the scars from a lion's claws mar his right front cannon. his fur is ragged and some patches on his knees are missing all fur, but this is a result of age, not war. His maw (muzzle) is large and powerful, ablle to snap another lion's neck instantly. His teeth have yellowed slightly with age and he limps, as his scarred leg pains him. On his front right paw, two of his claws are missing. This adds to the pain in that leg.

personality - Jiwa is a rather gentle lion ... except when provoked. If you get Jiwa angry, he will gladly rip you apart. He is humble, though, and knows to obey his authority, whether the king of an enemy pride, or his pride's king. He, because he is too old to hunt, allows the younger lions to eat before him or catchs himself smaller and slower prey, such as lizards. WHen called to battle, Jiwa is a warrior to be feared. His strength and size are unmatched. There is one weakness, and that is his pained leg. Too much pressure on it, and he will crumble. Jiwa is excellant with cubs and adores them. He often shelters cubs from enemy prides so that his king won't kill them. He realizes the danger, but, as Nala said to Simba, "I laugh in the face danger." Jiwa could care less what his king thinks when it comes to cubs.

history - Jiwa was born and raised in the Outlands. When he was just four years old, Simba, now the king of the pridelands was born. He was there, watching from the shadows when scar threw mufasa into the antelope stampede. He was there watching from the shadows when scar was going to do the same to Simba. He was watching from the shadows when scar was trown over the cliff. He watched as the hyenas attacked scar. Jiwa didn't know if Scar survived, but he didn't care. He went back to the Outlands with Zira and had helped raise Nuka. He dissappeared for some time, and when he came back, most lions had joined the pridelands. Jiwa left again and, as a vagrant, had encountered humans, rougue lions, and hyenas. He recieved the scar over his eye and lost two claws to a lion that resembled scar. The scars on his leg were from another lion that he later killed. He finally returned, exausted, to the Badlands. They accepted him only because he was strong. As an elder lion Jiwa spends his day hunting for lizards to either eat himself, or to give to his king and queen.
