full description -
Mkali is a very large, muscular lion. He is very strong but it many ways these are disadvantages to him because everyone can hear him approaching from a long way off. His mane is very full and one of the things he prides himself on. It's deep rust color is the origins of the rumor that he is distantly related to simba comes from. His body is literally covered in scars, each of them has a unique story that nearly got him killed one way or another. His eyes are very small compared to his snout, but they are perfectly round. They are soft yellow color, like grass is after the dry season. His fur is over all very long and soft. It's the color of pride rock and never seems to get dirty. He is very compulsive about always being clean.
personality -
Mkali will to survive has always been the emotion he relies most on. He is very untrusting to the point where some of the other lions in his pride question his mental stability. If your loyalty is in question at all he will banished. Mkali is extremely paranoid of being over thrown. In fact, it is rumored that Mkali will sometimes become so paranoid that he will have mad raving spells were he destroys everything in site and sometimes it is said that he will even harms the few lions he has left to care about. However if he does come to trust you he is one of most sensitive lions you will ever meet. Often times when prey is scarce he will starve himself in order to keep the cubs of his pride fed. He also has one of the most contagious laughs in the world, even though few get to hear it. Mkali wishes he could learn to be a little more heartless. He believes that a strong lion does not care about anyone but himself. Scar is one of his idols. When disputes between prides happen, Mkali is surprisingly and thoughtful. Deep down he believes killing without a purpose is wrong, which is why he hates himself more then anything when he hurts others during his "spells". He is simply not himself during them and he forgets his morals almost entirely. If his pride is in danger he will make sure who ever is the threat will never bother them again. He is proud above all else and doesn't like to admit he makes mistakes. Amani is the most important thing in the world to him, and he is extremely over protective of her. He listens to everything she has to say and does what she tells him to no matter what. He trusts her judgement above his own. She is his guiding light and what keeps him sane and calm. He honestly doesn't know what he would do without her.
history -
After Zira was killed and most of her followers left to join Simba, the outlands feel into chaos. Everyone killed to survive and survived to kill. No one was safe, dozens of cubs and cub mothers will killed. Mkali had lived in the outlands his whole life. He had been raised under the rule of Zira, and his mother, named Ua, had tried to raise him right. Mkali never met his father, but he did hear all the rumors about him. When Simba offered to the outlanders to join his pride after their great queens death Mkali refused. He returned to the outlands and together he, his mother, and a childhood friend Amani tried to survive. After finding a cave that was easy to defend they all took shifts sleep and watching for danger. They survived very well for nearly 6 months, but it was then that Ua was killed by another lion when she was out on a hunt. Mkali came across the murder trying to drag away the prey that Ua had just caught earlier, and he was so furious that he killed the lion. Mkali soon found he had to kill more and more to feel safe. He wasn't going to let anything happen to Amani too. He realized quickly that it was too pointless to try to live in this kind of land and decided he was going to something about it. He searching for lost troubled lions, offering his protection if they would help him try to start a real pride. His great size convinced others that he could protect them and soon he had more followers then enemies. However Mkali was not used to that kind of power, and he soon began to worry that his pride was full of the same lions who had been killing subs just weeks before. He began banishing anyone who had been known to "wish for the old days." Amani was the only one who he would talk to for several weeks until he calmed down a bit. He still banishes lions for having questionable loyalties but Amani is very good at keeping him from going out of control. Al though they are not technically mates, it is rumored they soon will be.
Mkali calls himself the prince instead of the king because he believes that Scar will always be the king of the outlands and that it's ruler on earth must always obey to the rules scar set forth under his reign.

Hey Lighty,

You needn't apologize for not posting a character's bio on your new account if you haven't created it yet.

I have a few simple things that I'd love for you ro fix before I accept Mkali.

In his personality, you state that he sometimes harms lions he cares about when he goes off on his mad raving spells, but later you comment about how be doesn't believe in killing lions for no reason. Perhaps saying that "When he's not having one of his mad raving sessions, he opposes lions being killed for no reason." or something like that.

As well, perhaps you should mention Amani in his personality if she's such a big part of his life. Mentioning that Amani is the only one who can calm him down, and maybe mentioning how he acts towards Amani would be good things to mention for his personality.

His history makes him seem quite possessive over Amani, which is definately something worth mentioning in his personality.

Once that's fixed up, I'd be glad to accept him.
