Gatherings

Like the Warrior Cats. Our Gatherings certainly wouldn't be quite so frequent, but they would certainly promote activity.

I haven't read Warrior Cats, so could someone explain it to me?

Of course! Every 'moon' (month), the four clans of warrior cats would gather at a predetermined location under a truce. This means that no harm would befall any members of RiverClan, ThunderClan, WindClan, or ShadowClan by means of a fellow clan member or rival clan member. So, in the case that we DID have gatherings, say, every two months, no member from any of the prides could attack any other. The leaders of every Clan would give a report on the goings-on in each of their territories as well as discuss plans for improvement of peace. Quite often, instead of peace a Clan leader would propose a conflict and start a war. This was good for plotting purposes, obviously, but would have been catastrophic in life outside of a book. At gatherings, members from rival clans would have chance for socializing and making friends. A huge milestone in a young warrior's training is their first gathering. They would pester their mentor constantly for a chance to go. I have no idea what Dawn has in mind about that particular point, but I don't see why every character can't participate.

Gatherings are always a much anticipated event on Warriors Cats RPGs, I would know this because I started roleplaying with Warrior Cats, and have since grown to Lion King and High School RPGs.

Gatherings would maybe happen every few months, in which the Pride Kings and Queens would select representatives from their Prides, to show off at the Gathering. This would definitely be a good way to stir up tension with our upcoming plot, since accusations and gossip tend to fly at Gatherings. And when the Gathering-Goers return, their Pridemates are often anxious to hear the gossip and goings-on from the gathering.

It would definitely be a way to drum up activity, especially when we hit a dry spell.

If we did decide to have Gatherings, we would hold the first one when we have characters in a high position in each of the regions. This could be very soon, seeing as only the Vinelands, Grasslands and Lowlands need a character holding a High Rank for the gathering.

When Prides do not show up to Gatherings, that also stirs up trouble. When the truce is broken, which is a very rare occurrence, it is an automatic declaration of war.

Actually, I think this would be a good idea. I actually am a member on a Warrior cats RP, and, sadly, my apprentice has never been allowed at a gathering... But I think it would work out. Just my opinion, though.

What if we have a test gathering?

We have one official gathering, and if the majority of us participate and have fun doing so, we'll make it a regular thing, if we don't, then we won't have gatherings again.

Alrighty, then we should really promote Era so that we can have characters in High Ranks in all of the Prides so that if a pride does not attend, it has a leader who must lead them through the consequences.

Vinelands, Grasslands and Lowlands are the only prides with no current leader. All are open to canon, site-canon or original characters.

And if people want to write their own Era ads, just PM them to me to approve first, and then we'll be all set to go.
