Mini-Appearance
Just a small rumble-tumble, dark fur, thick coated lion cub.
Appearance
Moto is a small cub, with a dark spot above her nose and on her upper maw, along the teeth of her jaw. She has a fairly average fur-coloring, except for the darker spots already noted, and she also has darker fur on her front paws and on the tip of her tale. There is a pattern of slightly paler fur on her chin and bottom jaw, creating a band of lighter fur down to her chest and belly, ending under the base of her tail.
She has bright amber eyes and large ears, and slightly longer-than-average fur all over her body. This adds extra weight for her to carry, but has it's advantages as well. Being a very young cub, she is essentially a little ball of fur, but she still has some physical description. Her eyes a large and rounded, her large ears pointed almost like those of a bat-eared fox. Her nose is a black in color, the edges of her lips the same. She still has very sharp cub-teeth, but she's not prone to showing them off. She is, under her fur, a fairly well built lioness - for a cub. Her legs are only slightly longer than average, keeping the necessary build for a powerful hunting grab, but having the promise of a speedy run in the future, and her tail is long, but thick.
Her paws, too, have little pads of fur growing between the toes - sometimes and advantage, sometimes not. This can help her remain silent when stalking prey or other cubs, but it also more slippery to walk on, and can give her problems on occasion.
Simply put, she's a small ball of fur with a personality.
Personality
A naturally inquinsitive lioness, Moto is a cub that will get into everything - sneak in on conversations, find your secret stash of shiny rocks, or find the cave behind the waterfall. At least, she would if she were allowed to go so far. Instead, she's often found exploring the area near home, playing with new plants, digging in the dirt to find worms, or any variation of other things.
However, she also has a slight attitude problem - particularly for her age. She's not afraid to snap at the more respected lions and lionesses - after all, they're just egotistic pride members who are more likely to get their way. She gets her voice heard, whether others want to hear it or not. This can often get her in trouble, but she seems to brush it off like it doesn't matter.
On top of all of this, she's a playful rumble-tumble sort of cub that can always find a way to amuse herself, no matter the situation. And if the cubs don't want to join in? Well, it's their loss, isn't it?
History
Moto was a fairly normal cub. She doesn't remember much of her younger years, being less than a full year old anyway, so she doesn't seem bothered with the whole idea of current events. They were alive, they have lived, and they would continue to live, and if anybody defied that, they'd get their butts kicked.
She was born to an average family in the pride. There wasn't anything particularly special about her, and she didn't particularly mind that. Ever. Other cubs pulled rank on her? She laughed and tackled them. Older lions pulled rank? She didn't care. Rank in the pride is something she thinks is silly.
She was actually born in the beginning of the drought in the forest, so dying plants aren't new to her - in fact, they're normal. If she saw a totally healthy plant, it would be an oddity. She always played with the plants and trees and other cubs anyway, her way, no matter what anybody said. It was their problem, wasn't it?
You Ask about Me?
About Me
I am Hifty. I can't promise to be a super active person, but I am, believe it or not, an experienced role-player. I've been involved in different styles of role-playing since before I can remember, including tabletop roleplays, forum roleplays, MMORPGs, and, admittedly, a little bit of LARP (though not seriously). I don't necessarily need people to show me how to play, but I will be dissoriented at the new site layout style. I'm sorry for taking so long to get this up, and, without further ado, here is your IC.
Role-play Sample
Moto stumbled on her young paws away from her mother, looking around at the dry foliage, seeing the drying plants. She'd heard others speaking about the abnormality of this dryness, but it seemed normal to her. Of course, the others were so much older than she. She padded toward a dried up fern of sorts, the tan-ish leaves leaving a strong contrast against the dark green of the healthier leaves along the stem. It was actually kind of pretty, though she didn't say anything about it.
She reached forward with her darker-shaded nose, tapping the plant slightly in curiosity. As the stem bobbed, leaves shaking, her ears perked up and her tail twitched. She proceeded to bat at the fern branch with her paws, watching as it bobbed up and down, the dead leaves twirling as they were knocked off of the fern. She bobbed, side to side, dodging the branch, playing a little game with it as it swerved through the dry air, up and down, left and right.
So intense was she in her game that she failed to notice another slightly older cub come sneaking up on her, and she was even more surprised when the cub squeaked - a failed attempt at a roar - and she lost her balance on a tree root, falling over on her back. The dry dirt clouded the air as she fell, blocking her view of the cub that had frightened her so.
As the dust settled, she found herself staring nose-to-nose at one of her friends - upside down. "Why would you do that? I was having FUN!" She hissed playfully, flipping herself over and pretending to bristle at the young male in front of her.
