Quick Description: Large, light brown male with a darker brown mane and sharp green eyes.
Full Description: Veli is a large, muscular male lion who has a light brown pelt with a darker brown mane and green eyes. His body is long and lithe with strong muscles that he uses primarily for fighting. His mane is thick, long, and shaggy, some of it occasionally covering his eyes and making it difficult to see. He has a couple of small scars on his body most of which look as though they were made by a cub.
Personality:
Though he is a warrior Veli is rarely ever serious, he sees life as one big game and thinks that if you don't have fun while playing the game then what's the good of playing it at all? He can usually be seen with a large smile on his face while he attempts to get other adult lions to play games with him. His favorite activities are play fighting and making jokes or playing pranks on other lions or lionesses. On the rare occasion that Veli is serious, it often means that something tragic has occured or someone has insulted his intelligence.
Veli can be a little dense sometimes, unable to grasp some of the simplest of concepts right away. It usually takes him some time before he fully understands some things which is why it's a bad idea to use metaphors around him because it will often lead to him becoming confused.
He typically does not have a problem with being confused but he absolutely despises feeling stupid as it makes him feel as though he is not as good as other lions. Should another lion constantly insult him by calling him 'less intelligent' then there will be a noticable change in Veli's mood. He will often become more depressed or aggressive towards others, he will smile less and have an all around gloomy aura about him. His mood will slowly return to normal if a friend or points out his good qualities.
Veli is a considerably noble warrior, unwilling to fight an opponent who is weaker than him. He will not attack anyone unless he feels that they are a threat to him or his pride. He dislikes the thought of killing a lion or lioness so if he attacks an enemy he will usually leave them in a weakened state but will not kill them unless told to do so by his leader.
Goals: Veli's goal is to protect his clan and have fun with his life.
History: As a cub, Veli had two siblings older named Jinji and Givani both were his brothers. Their parents were both hunters and took turns hunting for the pride at different times, their father would hunt during the day while their mother would hunt at night.
The three brothers usually didn't spend much time with their parents because while one was out hunting the other was usually sleeping. It was because of this that the eldest brother Jinji acted as a father figure for his younger brothers. Givani took some responsibility as well and helped his brother to teach young Veli some morals.
Givani, being the more reckless and childish of the three would playfight with Veli everyday. Although Givani often played a little too rough with his brother and ended up putting some small scars on his brother. He taught his brother how to have fun during life and not to be too serious.
Jinji on the other hand, was more careful with his brother and would discipline him if he did something bad. When Veli grew older Jinji eventually helped him learn how to fight and taught him to be a noble battler.
Veli grew with his brother's teachings in mind to become the lion he is today. Unfortunately Jinji believes that Veli needs to take life more seriously for fear that his brother may meet a horrible fate, he is often encouraging Veli to act more like an adult lion should. However, Veli does not feel comfortable acting his age and refuses to do so despite his brother's fears.

Veli beamed brightly at his Jinji and playfully pawed at his brother's ear. "Come on Jinji let's spar a little bit!"He growled affectionately.
Jinji sighed and raised his head, dark brown eyes locked onto the younger sibling. "Veli no, can't you see that i'm trying to sleep?"He questioned irritably.
Veli grunted "You were always such a stick in the mud when we were growing up. I had always though you would change once you got older because you wouldn't have so much responsibility."He said disappointedly.
"Veli this pride is as much my responsibility now as you and Givani were back then. Besides, you're both so immature that I might as well still be looking after a couple of cubs."Jinji responded, he was clearly growing angry with his brother he had begun to bare his teeth and was glaring at his sibling. "Now leave me alone."
Veli muttered something under his breath before turning and walking out of the den. "He's never going to change, that old grump."He murmured as he looked up at the starry night sky. "I wish he would have a little fun for once."Veli said.
