β Don't make me hurt you, because I will if that's what it takes.β BEYANI SIONNACH
Nicknames: Shy, but only because of her middle name and only to close friends. Gender: Female Age: Four Species: Lion Homeland: Lowlands Rank: Head Huntress
Quick Description: A strong, thick dark brown lioness with a light brown underbelly. Has startling green eyes that often pierce and give her a fierce appearance. Full Description: Beyani is a powerfully built lioness, she's neither gangley nor long limbed. Her body is powerfully muscled and she sports a larger build typical of a head huntress, her muzzle strong and square. Her front legs are strong and thick, while her hindquarters are a bit thinner and graceful. Her pelt is a deep brown while her underpelt is a softer shade of light brown, as well as her tail tuft and her 'toes'.
Her eyes are a piercing green that she inherited from her father and her muzzle is square and strong. She has an unshakeable appearance and is often standing strong and proud, not afraid to protect her pride. Her nose is a soft pale pink while the inside of her ears are a deeper shade and lightly fuzzed with the same light brown hairs that cover her underbelly.
Personality: Beyani has always been a strong girl, and one to favor playing games with the boys rather than taking baths with the girls. She lacks the elegance of a lot of females for that matter and swaps it for confidence that borders on arrogance and a fierceness that would scare even males. She's usually quite serious and rarely plays, seeing it as a waste of time and she runs her hunting team with an iron fist. She doesn't hesitate to call those out that need calling out nor does she hesitate to enforce her rules. She only does this for the safety of her team but can sometimes come off harsh, she doesn't usually mince words even for cubs.
Severe can often describe her expression but honestly she feels the weight of her position more than most. She's constantly worried about her entire pride and keeping them safe and fed, which is the reasoning behind her irritable nature. Whens he does dare let down her guard its often to show a more tired individual than most would expect and to show that a lot of her confidence is bravado. She's constantly second guessing her choices and making herself worry over them, lacking sleep regularly. Being a paws on huntress is a full time job and she never seems to get to rest and she is constantly worried about the threat of invasion.
Her reason for being constantly worried is because as lead huntress she also sees herself as a leader in battle if the need should arise.
Goals: To keep her pride safe from the Highlanders and all other threats.
History: Beyani was not a particularly ambitious cub, she only had plans to live safely with her wandering family. However her father had other plans for her, with no son to take his place as head of the family because of stillborns he made do with what he had in his daughter. He taught her to hunt as soon as he could despite her mothers disapproval and taught her to fight just as quickly. She was taught that playing was a waste and that the only thing that mattered was learning to be deadly and an efficient hunter. Wanting nothing more than to please her father Beyani took her lessons and his words seriously.
The family stayed together into adulthood and it wasn't until she was three that they finally split. However the split was unintentional, an attack by hyena's resulted in the lion families demise. Normally the three of them would have been more than a match for the hyena's but they were caught on a rock ledge that they had been crossing to get to the desert on the other side of a plateau. One by one they fought until they were forced off the ledge, her mother was the first to fall because of a faulty rock that gave way beneath her feet. Her father next, who rolled over the edge covered in hyena's biting and tearing at him. With the two of them broken and dead at the bottom of the cliff the remain pack turned on Beyani.
Her lessons hadn't went astray and the lioness set about killing as many as she could before they forced her over the edge. The only thing that saved her was her parents bodies, they cushioned her fall but it didn't save her from breaking one of her legs. The hyena's presumed her dead and left to find other things to occupy them and left Beyani to her fate. She figured she would die there, her leg pinned by a boulder that had fallen on top of it when she'd fallen. She was soon delirious from pain, exposure to the sun and dehydration and she would have died there if not for a family of foxes that rescued her. They nursed the lion back to health, helping her leg heal properly, but as soon as she was healed she was quick to leave.
The desert held bad memories for her. Finally she made it to the lowlands, and a pride without a head huntress. They had been left leaderless by an attack from their Highland neighbors but the Highlanders had not realized their victory and so retreated. The female lion seeing an opportunity to find herself a home and to take care of someone else for a change wrested her way into the lead position. She was strong for an outsider and quickly gained admiration for her strength but some dislike for her strict nature. She was simply enforcing her lifestyle like her father had, not knowing what was right or wrong. Challenge after challenge taught her that her way was not the right one and softened her slightly so that she was strict at an acceptable level.
Author Alias: Yani is good. RP Experience: 8 years How You Found Us: Google RP Sample: Shocking green eyes roamed the burrows and dens of her homes, she could see her pride milling about. Some playing, some lounging, while others were off hunting. Before the challenges she would have pushed all those playing and lounging to go train or to hunt but now she knew better. She wasn't their Queen. Her pride deserved their relaxation but that didn't mean she would fall into their rut or that she would be any less taxing on herself. Her claws dug into the soft dirt of the mound she stood on and kneaded it in anxiety, after their last leaders demise she had to be strong for them, always.
She swung towards the border of her homeland, the one that bordered the Highlands. She heard the King of the Highlands sometimes visited there and she had yet to meet this apparently pompous male. From what the lionesses told her he considered himself a ladies man, not something she cared to deal with but something she could in the event he tried to turn his charms on her. She didn't fancy herself an attractive female in the first place but she was no good judge of beauty either. She skirted the mud the best she could to simply make her appear more regal rather than dirty but finally gave up. It was muddier here than anywhere else she knew, besides perhaps the mud would show what a no nonsense lioness she was.
It would probably confirm she wasn't afraid to get dirty, whether it be dirt or blood on her pelt. When she was close enough to the border to hear the falls she raised her head loping straight and tall towards it. She would set up her watchful eye at the edge of the river nonchalantly and wait, all day if she had to, to catch a glimpse of this King. She knew it wasn't her place to talk to him really and that peace was reigning so far, but she also needed to warn him what would happen if he dared breach that peace. Being a vagrant the Lowlands grudges were not a ingrained into her but they were her pride now so their problems where hers and their grudges were her grudges. But she could speak with a clearer mind than they and appear more dangerous while doing it.
