Being stuck with the cub was not his idea of a good time, and the large brute cringed inwardly at the thought of this. However, he knew his Queen would be pleased with another recruit, and one that was so young that her mind would be able to still be warped if the Queen wanted it that way. Lumbering along the return path to the Outlands, he paid the white cub no mind, his mission on the forefront of his mind. An attack plan would certainly rise out of the information he had to present, and that was perfectly fine with him. Perhaps he would be the one to lead the attack. The thought sent a shock of thrill through him, but he quickly shoved it away. That would be impossible. Hasira would never send him in at the front of the attack. He was too noticeable with his grey hued pelt and his many scars. He would be noticed immediately. Though, maybe she would give him the satisfaction of being the one to personally attack Kovu himself. Now that, that would be a tremendous honor.
Lost in thought, he nearly forgot that the cub was following him until he crossed the river boundary and heard the splash of her paws through the water. Casting a glance over his shoulder at her, the brute made no effort to hide his annoyance at the fact that she was still following him. He had to give her credit for her persistence, though. It was an admirable trait, one he had as well. She deserved a chance, but he was not so willing to give it to her. Tamaske was the type that had always proved himself and earned what he was given through hard work and tireless effort. Nothing in his life had ever been given to him, and that had rubbed off on him. He never gave anything to anyone. However, she was just a cub, and now she was a cub in a new land. Nepa was not in her home anymore, and the Outsiders were often unfriendly to new arrivals. There was a certain level of responsibility falling onto his shoulders now. It was up to him to make sure she was not killed in these harsh lands, and though he was not thrilled by the idea, he begrudgingly accepted the responsibility.

As the gray brute walked away. The white cub trotted doggedly behind. She followed him all the way to the river where she could see a dark, forbidding landscape ahead. As she stared in silence at the land she noticed the brute look behind and cast an annoyed glance at the cub. Nepa shivered under his eyes but followed behind him still. Her breath was coming in shallow gasps and pants because of her pace, but she consistently followed him. As that forboding landscape seemingly swallowed them up, Nepa darted forward and stayed as close to the smokey lion as she dared. The land scared her and she could feel the eyes of differnt creatures watching her. Her bright white pelt stood out against the dark soil like a light in darkness. She looked around, hoping that somewhere nearby there would be mud or something that she could coat herself with, but was disappointed when none could be seen. Looking up at the brute, the little shiveringand panting white cub looked for reassurance from him. Her frightened blue eyes peered hopefully at the brute's stoe-cold pools. the land around didn't seem very welcoming and she wondered if the inhabitants were the same. Would they accept her was the only thing running through her mind then and there.
